CLAIMS REFERENCE GUIDE

In the railroad industry we work under a very unique law "The Railway Labor Act" enacted by Congress in 1934 as a resolution when labor disputes arose, this stopped the labor organizations from "striking" over minor disputes to keep constant flow of interstate commerce preserving the US economy from stopping. RLA promotes voluntary arbitration as the best method for resolving those disputes.

When we find ourselves with a different interpretations of our agreements with the carrier, we have to grieve that dispute.  We are strongly encouraging everyone of our members to help us protect our agreements and hold the carrier accountable!  Use the guides provided to submit claims.
